Beam Planning is a recently established planning consultancy, founded with the aim to illuminate the path and support our clients on their planning journey. Beam brings together three experienced directors who have nearly 50 years of experience in large private consultancy. The three directors decided to start their own firm focused on working on the most important projects in NSW in a collaborative environment where excellence and innovation thrive.
Our current projects include a range of planning proposals, policy development and advice, as well as local, regional and State significant development applications.
We are looking for an Assistant Planner to join our growing team and support the three directors in all aspects of our projects. If you are passionate about planning and a good communicator that can see yourself carving out a career in consultancy, this is your chance to join an exciting new business from its inception.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from and work directly with each director. Day-to-day activities will include reviewing, analysing, and summarising planning polices and legislation; contributing to planning advice, writing Statement of Environmental Effects and Environmental Impact Statements; attending meetings and industry events.
The 12 month contract is offered to commence in early 2024 to align with the UNSW practice year, with a view to part-time employment during the completion of degree and the opportunity for permanent employment upon completion of the degree.
